WARNING! TOO MUCH MUSIC

We have had an unprecedented rush on Phase Four Album funding so far this financial year (commencing 01 July 2007) and we have run out of budget. That is both good and bad. It's good that there are so many quality qualifying projects coming to us but it's not so good to run out of budget after just two of six funding rounds for the 2007/2008 year.

So… we are having to declare a moratorium on Phase Four Album funding for a few months… until the new (calendar) year at least… at which point we will be reviewing the NZ Music budget to see whether we can liberate some funds from other quarters to do some more Phase Four Albums. In practical terms, what we are planning to do is mothball the scheme for the December 2007 and February 2008 funding rounds and re-open the scheme for the April and June funding rounds next year.
