BEAUTIFUL CHART ENTRY FOR SHIHAD

It’s lucky number seven for Shihad as their seventh studio album, (the NZ On Air Phase Four-funded) BEAUTIFUL MACHINE, debuts at NUMBER ONE on the New Zealand albums chart. BEAUTIFUL MACHINE has also been certified Gold in the process. BEAUTIFUL MACHINE marks the band’s third NUMBER ONE New Zealand album. Both previous Number One albums “The General Electric” (1999) and “Pacifier” (2002) have also gone on to achieve Platinum Sales status. Shihad’s Jon Toogood summed up the band’s feelings saying “We're really so proud of BEAUTIFUL MACHINE, and the reaction to our new album from our fans, as well as the NZ media, has been nothing short of phenomenal. We've just been totally blown away by hitting #1!! YOU ALL ABSOLUTELY RULE - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!” BEAUTIFUL MACHINE has been fuelled by the first single - One Will Hear The Other – which has become the most successful Shihad single to date on New Zealand radio. To cap off a very special week, following an incredible headline show at Wellington’s Vodafone Homegrown Festival, the second single, Vampires, is already becoming a fast favourite at radio … And then there’s those rumours of a New Zealand tour announcement which are growing by the day!
